Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the questions we are frequently asked about our project.
If you have any more questions please email us.

Q

"I love this idea! How can I help make it happen?"

A

Thank you! At this point what we really need is help spreading the word and funding. Donations help us get better equipment, more expert opinions, and fund the simulation. However, if you think you have a special skill that might help us, or if you have knowledge and would like to do an interview email us and let us know.
You can spread the word by sharing us on social media. If you're intrested in more, email us for coppies of flyers and posters you can hand out and hang up in your area.

Q

"Are you going to talk about what influences an active shooter? "

A

Yes, we will examine the many components that influence a school shooter.

Q

"I would like to send you a video about my experince/opinion/idea. How do I do that?

A

We greatly appreciate hearing your thoughts! You can send us a video through our email.

Q

"How are you going to insure your simulations and results are accurate?"

A

There is no way to perfectly simulate a school shooting as each one has an endless list of differences.  Our team includes local law enforcement, forensic pathologists, psychiatric specialists, and various other professionals. We also are grateful for the support of our affiliate, Mira-Unity. Mira-Unity is a company specializing in crisis management and hostile environment training. They have members with law enforcement and military backgrounds that contribute to their expertise. Their company designs tactical security plans for schools and companies around the world.

Q

"Are you affiliated with the NRA/VPC?"

A

No, we are not affiliated with either.

Q

"I don't want to support something that's just looking to start another gun debate. Can you assure me that that is not what you're trying to do?"

A

We want to create a dialogue on how we can make schools safer. "Dialogue not debate" is something we've said before. Children deserve to be safe in school; we want to talk about how to make that happen.

Q

"When will your movie be done? Where can I watch it when it's finished?"

A

We are comitted to making this project the best it can be. This being a project of passion, our team is committed to taking as long as it needs to make this film.  We will be sending an exclusive streaming link and a signed DVD for those who donate certain amounts. To see what those amounts are visit our donate page. We will be updating viewing methods in the future.

Q

"Is this a right-wing/leftwing motivated project?"

A

No, our team is made up of a diverse group of people all with the singular objective of school safety.
